Illustrator & Designer ■ KublaCon is a large gaming event that focuses on role playing games such as Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, World of Darkness, and hundreds of other systems as well as card game and board games. It is a major event for the industry, held in California. Game Masters (people who offer to host games and develop stories and characters for others to enjoy) often deal with people who are new to the gaming arena.
Usually core rule books are hard to lug around and expensive to allow others to use as ware and tear will eventually damage them. To help new players and to spare the books of the Game Master, I created cards to carry the system information to the players. Each character has their own system cards and each event or possible situation has its own card.
These cards are utilized with the character sheets (standard from the World of Darkness) and supplement them with explanations of powers, other forms and any other general system information they player may need. The title of the character (never named as that is left to the player) is on the top with the important information below.
These cards are color coordinated to help the Game Master easily see which cards are for characters, villains, status effects, combat line up for initiative, and so forth. Gratitude packs were made housing World of Darkness iconography as decals and invitations for the players to join the Game Master in their own online game, or utilize their artistic skills for their own games later on.
The package folds together without glue so it remains recyclable. I printed and hand cut and assembled all cards and packages and decals.
